When I say this year has flown by, and is now at the halfway mark, it is almost impossible to fathom. Nonetheless, here we are about to celebrate the Summer Solstice 2013. In our household, this is a major event of epic proportion. We plan an elaborate celebration of the Solstice, replete with Goddess cakes, the planting of spiritual seeds of loving intention, and circle chanting. In other words, the Solstice is a very big deal! And why? Because we understand the soul’s need to live in alignment with the cycles of the cosmos. When we reside upon our extraordinary planet in reverence, and attune our rhythms to Hers, sacred magick spontaneously infuses every level and aspect of our lives. Thus, we begin to perceive and absorb the subtle frequencies of the Earth, as we intuit the energetic ebb and flow of our natural surroundings. Absolutely everything around us comes into vivid, living color when we are in harmony with each year’s seasons and cycles. And positively no two are the same. No two summer seasons are identical; no two winters indistinguishable. Life, experienced from this kind of mindfulness, manifests as an exquisite cascade of personally fashioned moments, compiled and artistically displayed in our uniquely individualized scrapbook of consciousness.
As students of Truth, we have all heard we are here, on Earth, as co-creators with the Divine. But never are those words more evident than when we live in the sacred space of the NOW, fully enveloped in the fresh vibration of an untouched reality. The Summer Solstice enthusiastically invites us to draw upon the fresh energies to warm up romantically, soar to new heights in our career sector, or detox and rejuvenate our physical temple. Summer is the season to allow ourselves to courage to venture from bud to blossom. Let’s open our hearts, and minds, to the amazing realm of the heretofore unimagined. Here is an example of a handful of simple pleasure you can easily add to your mix of seasonal magick:
Wake up at sunrise, and step outside to greet and dedicate your life to the new day.
Each morning, write down your five most meaningful intentions for the day ahead.
Plant an herb garden in colorful pots and place it on your kitchen windowsill.
Drink only fresh vegetable juice for three consecutive days.
Start a yoga, meditation, art or dance class.
Perform one anonymous random act of kindness each day.
End each evening with an entry in your journal listing the three things you are proudest of doing, or the three most important lessons you learned.
Of course, these are just suggestions, and you are free to create any kind of summer rituals, to bring beauty, excitement and significance to your life, as this blessed season begins. Just do it, and watch the enchantment unfold…
There is a natural rhythm to the universe, an underlying, ever so subtle, musical theme to which life within dances. Once I attune myself to the rhythm of the cosmos, my life will naturally flow to the beat of perfection.
“I will choreograph my life to the music of the Celestial Composer.”
Peace and blessings,
