As spiritual beings having human life experiences, this journey into consciousness has availed each one of us the opportunity to make conscious connections with numerous like-minded souls. Synchronicity, otherwise known as a meaningful coincidence, often time plays a role in the people that cross our paths. Many formidable friendships have been formed in this manner.
Recognizing your connection to those people who are in your life today will assist you in understanding the important roles we play in each other’s lives. Please remember though to not compare your journey to anyone else’s journey as we are all having our own unique life experiences.
This human experience may involve challenges as well as triumphs. It’s up to each one of us how we choose to perceive these experiences. We may choose to label an experience as good or bad; positive or negative. In reality, this is simply our perception or a personal assessment of the experience we have had. Nonetheless, these experiences are opportunities for learning and growth. In essence, we have actually chosen these lessons for ourselves as incarnations for this lifetime at Earth school. While our human-ness may not understand, our soul does.
The resounding message, for most of our life, has been that people come into your life for a reason. It is not for us to determine what that reason is. There is no need to analyze the how, when, why, what, and where aspects of this interaction. Rather, I believe that we are meant to allow it to happen – allow the relationship to unfold and see where it takes us.
As the saying goes, “People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.” From my perspective, I recognize that it is not important for us to determine the particulars of the connection at the time it is made – whether the individual is in our life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. Only later, when the relationship has come to an end and ways have been parted, do we discover why. Simply enjoy each and every moment of the relationship during the time that it lasts. Choosing to view the blessings rather than focusing on the outcome is important as each encounter with another offers us life lessons to learn from.
Throughout our lives, we have a multitude of relationships with numerous individuals. These relationships may be labeled as passersby, acquaintances, friends, best friends and intimate. Family members would also be considered, labeling as immediate and extended family. Of course, we will always be related to our family members. Some family members may have differing beliefs than you and may even choose to vocalize these beliefs aloud. How you choose to react to what they say and do is entirely up to you. From my personal experiences, sometimes it is better to smile without saying a word.
Throughout my spiritual journey, I have allowed myself to stand in my power; honor who I am and what I do; and also detach as needed, especially at family gatherings. I observe what is going on without my emotions becoming involved. I love my family dearly, but I no longer worry about what they think of me. Nor do I allow what they think or say to have an effect on me.
Understandably, the relationship with our soul or spiritual family is often times more fulfilling than the relationship we may have with certain family members. Acceptance rather than judgment is typically felt. We all deserve to be unconditionally accepted and loved. It is important to redefine the perception of family allowing our personal perception, rather than societal’s perception, to infuse our being. Many times, the relationship with our spiritual family may be fuller and more expansive than our biological family. Living to have your life force constantly replenished rather than stifled is a wonderful feeling.
Clearing the energetic clutter, so to speak, within relationships is sometimes necessary. Taking a moment to reflect, assess those relationships that you perceive to be healthy and balanced while also acknowledging those relationships that you may deem unhealthy or imbalanced. Making the conscious decision to cultivate the healthy relationships as well as establish boundaries within those relationships that are perceived to be unhealthy and imbalanced is essential for your personal well-being. As you grow spiritually and change, your relationships with others will change as well. There is no need to evaluate the particulars of this change as it is inevitable.
Balanced relationships involve both giving and receiving. Just as in effective communication, speaking and listening is both required. Furthermore, when you give to others, you should also give to yourself. Invoking the Universal Law of Attraction, what you send out into the Universe comes back to you.
Bring this loving action into your daily lives. Realize that you are making a difference in the lives of others by being who you really are. Smiling, offering a kind word to another and holding the door open are effortless acts that have meaningful results. Both the recipient and the giver walk away from the interaction feeling lighter and loved. No gesture is too small nor goes unnoticed.
These simple acts will not only raise the recipient’s vibration, but will also raise your vibration, as the giver or sender, as well. Practice compassion with everyone you come into contact with, including passersby in the store. It is really easy to do and both individuals will feel lighter and shine their own Lights brighter. In turn, you will attract individuals into your life who are a reflection of you.
I invite you to join me in creating conscious connections with like-minded individuals who are walking the same path as you are. Ultimately, each one of us desires to be acknowledged, valued, appreciated and loved. It is innate within each of us to love and to be loved.
