Plutocracy

There is nothing more incredible than sitting atop a mountain, meditating, engaged, and asking for God’s divine intervention. Typically, we have been taught, as spiritual people, to hand our concerns over to our higher power.  We have learned to go about our day as though all has been miraculously taken care of. Can we agree, on some level, that this spiritual theory is accurate?  I say, yes. However, there are times when we hand everything over, and we wait, and wait…and wait for the miracle.  Sometimes our affirmations concerning our boss or co-workers negative behavior seems anything but resolved.  Sometimes our personal relationship goes from bad to worse. What do you do when the person/situation you are challenged by continues to be your adversary? Why is poverty consciousness and financial abundance a difficult (karmic) lesson for so many?  If any re-occurring theme has haunted you on any level these last three (3) years, then now is the time to get these lessons down. Got it?  Begin!

Saturn’s (planet of past lives/current karmic lessons) transit in the house of Libra (relationships/fairness/equality/love/Human Rights and justice) will have completed its three year journey October, 2012. Saturn will now enter the house of Scorpio (transformation, power or the abuse of power, politics, corporations, revolution, re-birth, great nations and leadership that comes at a price) beginning October 6, 2012, and will stay for three (3) years. For those of us who have been challenged by Saturn’s transit in Libra these last several years; we most likely witnessed the letting go of something foremost in our lives. Fairness became the loud whisper shouted around the planet, from the streets of London to Cairo, from Wisconsin to the Vatican City. Alabama, Florida, Colorado and many more red States face their own fairness issues with voter suppression laws enforced by the GOP, effecting minorities, students and elderly citizens. Saturn in Libra demands equality for everyone (not a select 1%) and will manifest in ways necessary to achieve its pre-ordained goal. The Supreme Court’s 5-4 decision on affordable insurance for millions of Americans trails a Venus transit (Libra ruled) just weeks of its arrival June 6th, 2012. But Libra’s cycle of fairness comes to an end and Saturn’s phase in Scorpio will begin as early as September 15, 2012,

Saturn’s upcoming transit in Scorpio is already occurring politically. MSNBC, CBS, CNN and other national news stations, along with their political pundits, as well as Robert Kennedy Jr. and Bill Maher, from HBO’s series, Real Time with Bill Maher, have tossed this novel word into our consciousness.  Most people are unfamiliar with Plutocracy! Most people are sitting on top of a mountain looking elsewhere, perhaps focused on their own personal agendas.

The ancient Greeks defined Plutocracy as: Ploutos; meaning “wealth”, and Kratos: “rule with power”). The balance of political power in the U.S. has been tipped in the favor of the wealthy due to former President George W. Bush’s policies. Inequality has become the new normal for mankind, while those who have abused the financial system walk away with prosperous bonuses. Lessons to be learned by the hand of Saturn will only amplify beginning in October 2012, unless we allow fairness its bequest.  Saturn in Libra’s mission is to evoke fairness, to restore balance in every branch of government, to implement global human rights for all countries citizens, to let go of the patriarchal systems that got us in this mess to begin with. This will allow us to return to our Founding Father’s doctrine “All men are created equal.” Yet, Plutocracy is inching its way into our media headlines, indicating a harsh new reality - “Government for the wealthy, by the wealthy, serves only the wealthy.”

Numerology and Astrology teach a sacred theory that mankind always has a choice when change is needed. Religious biblical dogma refers to Thy Will Be Done, when change is needed. Plutocracy commands with an iron fist, denouncing Thy Will Be Done and proclaiming, My Will Be Done on the backs of the butcher, the baker and the candle stick maker.

As we approach this Scorpio-Pluto transit (resurrect or destruct) in October, we must re-examine two previous historical turning points under this identical astral cycle. The demise of Atlantis and their notorious abuse of power, politics, and weather, not only became their final epitaph, but the downfall of one the most advanced civilization to rise and fall, due to the complacency of its spiritual community. The second is that of…the Philistines’ army, along with their giant killing machine, Goliath, and a teenager named David, his sling shot and five stones.  Think about this the next time you sit upon the mountain top, huddled in lotus position, chanting, handing everything over to God.

David had to go to the top of the Valley of Elah, ask for God’s guidance, believe Thy Will Be Done, return to Saul and face his biggest challenge in life with only a sling shot.  The Great Task Master, Saturn, arrives in Pluto in October. We are here to re-examine, re-evaluate, re-think, re-lease and re-do what must be done with fairness, integrity and continue to carry the shield of compassion within our hearts no matter what we face in our personal lives. Pluto and Saturn come together and ask nothing, other than….were we fair? Did we let go and let God guide us? What ended? What began? What did I lose? What did I gain? Mankind always has a choice.  We can rise like the Phoenix from the ashes or we can descend to the depths of complacency. Will it be Atlantis or David? It is time to make a choice.
